Gustav VS Ike

Gustav ended up bringing us 12 inches of rain in 2 days for us here in Conway.  Ike showed his strength to us late Saturday evening.  He brought very strong wind.  The leaves bumping up against the window kept me up quite late.  We were quite fortunate we only lost our flag pole and our UCA flag.  Our neighbors as well as others weren't quite so lucky.  Hopefully, for us as well as those on the targeted areas hurricanes are done for this year.
Sunday, Ashlin said her first prayer in primary.  It was very sweet and she did it all by herself.  I came in and stood beside her, but she didn't need me.  She is getting more grown up each and every day.
Yesterday, Ashlin & Jaxon had their first day of soccer.  They loved it and did quite well.  Although, Jaxon isn't convinced that you shouldn't use your hands....it is much easier that way.  Ashlin scored 5 goals and Jaxon scored 2.  He was more interested in hanging out in the goalie area.  They did a great job participating.  Shawn laughed a little at the kids playing soccer.  He says, this age group has an immense talent at stealing toys....but when it came to taking the ball away from another play.....no way....wouldn't even consider.  They of course are to sweet for that.  I forgot my camera, I will post pictures next week.

I love little kid soccer. It's such a free-for-all.
