A little humor for the day...
Finally fed up, God said, 'THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job.'
So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.
They moused.
They faxed.
They e-mailed.
They e-mailed with attachments..
They downloaded.
They did spreadsheets!
They wrote reports.
They created labels and cards.
They created charts and graphs .
They did some genealogy reports .
They did every job known to man.
Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell.
Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course, the power went off...
Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld.
Jesus just sighed....
Finally, the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their computers. Satan started searching frantically, screaming:
'It's gone! It's all GONE! 'I lost everything when the power went out!' Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours of work.
Satan observed this and became irate.
'Wait!' he screamed. That's not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don't have any?'
God just shrugged and said,
JESUS SAVES ...

I am going to where a shirt with red and white stripes with an elf hat on. Jeron is going to where an elf costume. His stocking is white and mine is red. Together we make Christmas time a magical time of the year. I love Christmas

Eternal Consequences
I love this quote from Henry B. Eyring's talk, "Rise to Your Call," Ensign, Nov. 2002, 76. It has a lot of personal significance to me as I watch my children’s testimonies grow as well as the missionary opportunities I have had in the Conway 1stWard.
"You are called to represent the Savior. Your voice to testify becomes the same as His voice, your hands to lift the same as His hands. His work is to bless His Father's spirit children with the opportunity to choose eternal life. So, your calling is to bless lives. .
"Your call has eternal consequences for others and for you. In the world to come, thousands may call your name blessed, even more than the people you serve here. They will be the ancestors and the descendants of those who chose eternal life because of something you said or did, or even what you were. . .You see, there are no small callings to represent the Lord."
I am so grateful for the Gospel and the missionaries that shared it with me. What a difference they have made in my life, my children’s lives, and those around me. I am thankful for their s2 years of missionary service & representing the Savior. They truly are planted seeds that have eternal consequences. These eternal consequences are not only for the people that they taught like myself....... but it continues to the people that I reach out to. We will never know the difference we make by teaching "one" person the Gospel. It is more far reaching than we will ever be able to comprehend.
I had the wonderful opportunity during Christmas break to be able to visit with the three missionaries that taught me the Gospel! It was so wonderful to be able to visit with them. There will always be a spot in my heart full of gratitude and love for them.
Christmas 2010
Christmas Eve we followed the Charlton tradition. We sang Christmas hymns, Shawn's dad read the Christmas story from the Bible, and Shawn's mom read the Littlest Angel. This year Shawn's Mom & Ashlin did a duet on the Piano "Oh Come All Ye Faithful"! It was a wonderful Christmas gift to see Ashlin's musical talent shine. Normally Nana gets Christmas Jammies for Christmas Eve night. This year she forgot. Ashlin was upset. Nana told her maybe if she wished hard enough that maybe they would appear. Ashlin must have wished hard enough because Santa made a personal visit and brought all of the grandkids jammies. The kids absolutely loved the visit. They were so thankful that he made time to visit. It was definitely a learning experience for Ashlin. She wants to be 8 very badly so she can be baptized. I told her that she still had a year and a half and she replied remember Christmas Eve when I wished for the jammies.
On Christmas morning we got up bright and early to see what Santa brought. The definite highlight of my day is when I woke up Ashlin. I said, "Ashlin is time to wake up and see what Santa brought you." and she replies, "Mom Christmas isn't just about Santa it's about the Savior's Birth!" My little girl has an amazing little spirit. Her faith is such an example to me!
Christmas day was great there was oodles of fun and tons of good food! We just enjoyed today together as a family.
