2012 Book Character Parade

Each year Ellen Smith Elementary has a book character parade.  The students are encouraged to dress like a character from their favorite book.  Ashlin & Jaxon were so excited.  Jaxon was Buzz from the fly guy books.  Ashlin was Bethany Hamilton from Soul Surfer.  We had so much fun being with them at school.  Jeron is excited for his turn next year.  He was scoping out all of the costumes to give him ideas for next year.

Priceless Moment!

Ashlin & I were sitting side by side reading our church magazines together.  I was reading President Monson's talk, Believe, Obey, Endure.  I was very touched by the beginning and felt like it was very appropriate to share with her since she is 2 months away from her baptism.  Afterwards she wrapped her arms around me and gave me a great big hug and said, "Thanks Mom for sharing this with me I have a better testimony because of it.  Thank you for joining the church I love you."
Tears came to my eyes with love for my precious daughter and I wouldn't trade those few minutes for anything in the world!
