In the last post I mentioned Papa (aka Shawn's Dad) being here and visiting. We had such a great visit with and are so thankful it worked out that he could come and spend a week with him. We kept him busy while he was here. I even made him come into Primary and give a short message to the kids which he did a wonderful job. It was perfect timing because the week before I did a sharing time on Family history and talked about interviewing Grandparents. So, it was fun to have him come in. We drug him to the Little Rock Zoo and not to repeat myself again but had another great time. Although, the Little Rock zoo is small, especially in comparison to San Diego, it still had it's own advantages. One being you could get up close and personal with the animals. We were fortunate and the majority of the animals were out enjoying in the warm weather, could be misery as well. We were able to see a bird show there. They had different birds who would fly back and forth between the zoo workers over head. It was definitely an up and close experience. The kids got to get up close and personal with a snake declined to hold or touch it. I was genuinely surprised they walked up as close as they did especially when a dog sends Jaxon running with terror. Despite the size there was plenty to do and we left tired and satisfied at the end of the day.
Ashlin lost her second tooth this month. It was the bottom incisor right next door to the first one she lost. She was just as excited. This time it just popped right out without any help. Flossie came to visit her once again. Ashlin found her tooth on the counter the next morning and told me Flossie left the tooth. I had to tell her Flossie was super nice and allowed me to keep it for a keepsake because I was sad my baby girl was growing up so fast. She told me she thought Flossie was very nice.
Last week the boys and I had fun all morning playing together. We spent the majority of the time playing with the Mr. Potato Heads. It's been fun watching the daily dynamics change with Ashlin going to Kindergarten and with Jaxon beginning preschool. The first couple of days after Ashlin left the boys were like little couch potatos. They were use to Ashlin leading the play. Now Jaxon is taking the lead. Now when Ashlin comes home the boys will be playing very nicely together and she will say, "Hey, Play with me." Jeron is loving have one on one time with the parent's while both kids are at school. The majority of the time he is up at UCA bounced between Shawn and myself. This week we took him to lunch and he was so excited and had a big smile on his face. We let him choose. I bet you will never guess what place he chose....these words dripping with heavy sarcasm....why Mcdonalds of course. Looking at his face it was worth every minute of it.
A couple of weeks ago, I was laying down resting with a head cold. The door bell rang. I debated do I go answer it or not. I looked out the peep hole and thought...it's missionaries and I don't even know them....Wait....it's Fa & Jensen. They served in our area a year ago. We really had some fun memories with them. Fa is one of the missionaries that helped us remove our wall paper and Elder Jensen taught Ashlin to call Elder Fa Elder Crazy. They were in my neighborhood to visit someone else and dropped by. I felt very fortunate because I know there were many people they would have liked to see. I just happened to be in the right place.
That's at least some record of what we have been doing. The pictures are somewhat out of order but it's time to put the trio to be got to have your priorities right? Plus, back to grading grading grading. It never ends.

How fun to have Grandpa come, that is awesome that he will come by himself, and do all of those fun things. I love all the potato heads, Hallee loves doing poato heads too, she likes to make Grandma, Grandpa, and one of her uncles. How funny, you guys really don't like McDonalds either, the girls always, everytime request to go there- Yuck!
Love all the potato heads!!!
You guys are such a fun family, and Veda you are a fabulous mom. You inspire me to be better. :) It is interesting to me the rate and age at which kids lose their teeth. Chandler has only lost 2 and that happened mid-year in kindergarten...most of his friends have lost most of the front top and bottom. The body is so fascinating. It's cute that you call the tooth fairy Flossie. The 2nd tooth Chandler lost was at school and it fell out of the little container the nurse put it in and rolled under a table or something so he was so sad thinking that he wouldn't get any money. Cute kids. Well this comment is long enough, sorry!
