Birthday Fun & A Beautiful Dancer!

Ashlin & Shawn had a great birthday at Sonshine Academey. This is where she takes dance. She & her friends had a great time. There was a bouncer, mats, trampolines, and all kinds of things to let out all of their restless toddler energy. The day was just perfect! We even took Shawn to his favorite restaurant (i.e., Chile's) for dinner. His parent's, sibling's, and myself went in together and got him a Garmin/GPS for his birthday. He has been playing with it ever since. We definitely chose well. Ashlin got alot of fun things. Everyone picked just the right thing for her. She loved all of the phone calls and the love she felt from her family and friends. Thanks for sharing in her special day! Oooops, of course Shawn as well!




Saturday was Ashlin's first Dance recital. She looked absolutely beautiful! She went up on stage and did a great performance. Oooh's and Aaaah's came out of the audience's mouth when the little toddler's came out, they were just so cute. In fact, they were so cute you still loved their dance even when each of them only actually performed a small portion of it. They each tried so hard. I am very proud of her! I cried through most of it, mom's are so emotional! I was so overwhelmed with pride and love for her. I flashed back to the time when I didn't even know if I would be able to have kids and doing the fertility treatments. I had a wave of gratitude wash over me for my sweet little girl and my 2 little boys. They bring so much joy and happiness to my life (and don't forget frustration). Heavenly Father truly has his own time line and knows the experiences each of us need in life. I am so grateful for the experiences in life that led me to Shawn and my children!
