A few of the things we have been up to!

We can definitely tell that the school season has arrived. We have been busy but we are slowly getting into a routine. The trio are enjoying their school year for the most part. They are learning and growing up faster than we like. Some of friends have recently had babies. I snuggle them and it seems like such a long time ago when my trio was snuggly little babies. I am so grateful they are still snuggly. It makes their growing up less painful. This year the trio are all dolphins. They are in the swim program at a local fitness center here. Ashlin is continuing dance. Jaxon and Ashlin are still taking piano. Shawn and I survived the beginning of the semester craziness. I continue to work full time as the Assistant Director of Disability Support Services and teach part time. This semester I am teaching General Psychology. This year has been exciting. I have went from 3 students with hearing loss to 13. This growth has added alot more chaos definitely alot more texting but it is an exciting time. The students with hearing loss have been excited to get together most of them were the only student in their school with hearing aids or cochlear implants. It really is exciting and a population that is very near and dear to my heart. Shawn is continuing this year as Undergraduate Director in Psychology. He is taking on more and more administrative duties. He continues research in his lab and teaches 3 classes (i.e., Evolutionary Psychology, Learning, Judgement & Decision Making). We both recently got new callings in church. We are enjoying new ways to serve. To sum up our life, there is never a dull moment in the Charlton home!
Jaxon has lost so many front teeth recently!  He is loving the money from Flossie (the tooth fairy)!  Although, sometimes the money is creative spots.....some might even say she forgot and had to do some last minute creativity!

Ashlin participated in a dance clinic sponsored by the high school dance team & cheerleaders.  She had a great time and the following Tuesday she was able to perform during half time!  She had another spectacular performance!

This past Saturday was the Stake Mother Daughter Activity....CTR olympics.  Ashlin was very excited it was her first year.  We had to help set up so we were on the road at 5 in the morning in the pouring rain.  We had to get a little creative we had planned the event to be outside.  So we set up all the events inside.  Thankfully the Jacksonville church had a covered pavilion and we were able to eat outside.  Special thanks to Shawn, he was a real trooper and grilled food out in the pouring rain.

Ashlin loved being able to help set up.

A few of our favorite Conway 2nd friends!
This year the kids are old enough to participate in the kids zone at the UCA football game.  They provide them with a UCA shirt, dinner, and enertainment (e.g., jumpy, etcetera).  Ashlin took her pom poms and cheered her heart out.  The UCA students supervising the children were great and cheered along with her and help her with stunts!
A few pictures from open house.  The trio loved showing up their class rooms and all of their hard work.  We really our thankful they love school and enjoy learning.  They are off to a great start.
