It's raining, it's pouring...

Once again, the rain is coming down here in Conway. The kids had great fun singing “It’s raining it’s pouring the old man is snoring” on the way home from their play date. Jax was even singing along, it was quite cute. There is a chance for a little snow this evening. If there is even the slightest hint of snow everyone rushes out to shop with dread that they might get stuck in a blizzard of inch deep snow.
Ashlin has learned the joy of building tents/forts out of blankets. Jaxon thought it might be a great fun to walk on the fort. He learned the hard lesson that you can’t walk on a tent. He fell down and landed on a toy. This resulted in a black eye and a little cut. Boys….is it their number 1 goal in life to continually have some visible injury to show that they are tough? Jeron had a big first at church yesterday. He was standing up holding onto Shawn’s fingers. Shawn let go expecting him to fall on his diapered bum, but no he stood all by himself for a good minute or longer. His first solo stand. He cruises around the furniture, walls, and everything else but until now has not shown any desire to walk or stand independently. We now have hopes that he will one day walk. Shawn and Jeron will be heading to Phoenix this weekend to see his parents. Shawn’s mom is rooting for him to take his first steps with her.

That kid just won't be happy without a black eye! Still adorable - wish I'd been there to join in the chorus.

Oh - and hope you survive any "blizzard" you may encounter
