Human Development Walk-a-Thon

We participated in the Human Development Center (HDC) walk-a-thon the first Saturday in October. The HDC provides services for those with severe disabilities. Each year the psychology club participates for service hours. We have really enjoyed the opportunity to be involved in the community. The children enjoy this weekend as well maybe for differences. They enjoy all you can eat doughnuts, cookies, and fruit. It's their dream come true. This year they were able to enjoy a ride on the HDC's miniature train.

I want to get more involved in our community too...I think it's important and sets a good example for our children. And you can't beat the free t-shirts that always come along with walk-a-thons! Haha ;)
