Florida Trip 5: Scenic Route to Pensacola Beach

The fun had to end at some point.  We started our return trip home.  Shawn and his Mom decided that we should take the scenic route to our destination point (i.e., Pensacola Beach).  We had a beautiful drive along the coast. We stopped to enjoy the beautiful sunset. The sunset was so beautiful and my heart was full of gratitude for this beautiful earth that Heavenly Father has given us to enjoy!

Florida Trip Day 5: Orlando Science Museum

Shawn would not find a vacation complete if the children did not make it to a children's/science museum. We spent the entire day at the Orlando science museum and had a great time enjoying science.

Florida Trip Day 4: Rest & Relaxation

Day 3 we did not do much. We wanted to rest and relax from our fun filled days. We played at the water area at the condo. We walked around down town disney. The boys absolutely loved the lego store!

Florida Trip Day 3: Magic Kingdom

Day three we spent at Magic Kingdom. We picked a great day to go only 17000 people were at the park. The lines were not bad at all. We went from ride to ride. Needless to say we were exhausted by the end of the day but it was well worth it!

Florida Trip Day 2: Islands of Adventure

We spend day 2 at the Universal Studios/Adventure Islands. It was another great day for the Charlton family. The kids were very excited for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The kids were decked out with their wands & their Gryffindor capes. They got many compliments which made them love them even more. We loved the butter beer and were a little disappointed we did not get more. Jaxon's favorite ride was the the flight of the hippogrith. The trio definitely loved the Dr. Suess rides.

Florida Trip Day 1: Daytona Beach

In Florida we went on a family trip to Kissimmee Florida. We had a fabulous time and made many treasured memories. I think this was our first real family vacation. Usually when we take time off it's to go see family or we tag on a little fun activity while going to a work conference. This vacation we got more of the traditional vacation experience yet we got family time as well all of Shawn's family was there as well.

The vacation brought a needed brake and time to rejuvenate ourselves. Our first full day in Florida we drove to Daytona Beach (literally onto the beach). The weather was beautiful and the water was a beautiful blue color. The kids were a little hesitant at first but by the end they were playing and stomping around in the water.

We ended the day with dinner at Red Robin! Oh how we miss that place!
